Thanks Fisher Price For Some New Toys To Play With

Whilst at The Baby Show last year the lovely people of Fisher Price offered us 3 toys to play and review for them.

We love Fisher Price for their children’s products, they are usually fab quality and value for money.

So onto the 3 toys. All 3 toys fall into the 6/36 month playing range and as per most Fisher Price toys are about helping aid development.

1. Laugh and Learn – Click N Learn Remote Control – RRP £9.99

Put baby in control of the fun—with a remote that’s just their size! Realistic styling inspires role play, while sing-along songs, tunes and phrases help baby learn about numbers, colours, opposites, shapes and more.

2. Laugh and Learn – Love to Play Puppy – RRP £25.00

The big chunky colourful buttons on this cuddly puppy are easy for little fingers to press and the colourful flashing lights and songs encourage baby to try and try again. Combining two modes of play, learning and musical games, puppy introduces an early understanding of numbers, shapes, colours opposites and more!

3. Brilliant Basics – Baby’s 1st Doll – RRP £10.99

A baby doll for your baby doll—both cute as can be! This one is soft, huggable, and ready to delight little ones with every shake and rattle. Easy to hold and carry, and a great way to encourage early role play!

When we returned home I had my suspicions at what each child would go for 1st, the Remote Control was Grayson’s choice, I knew it would be, he loves real remote controls and although this one is bright and engaging it does also very much so mirror a remote, he loved pressing the buttons, but most importantly for him and most young babies it had great mouthing qualities, what I love about Fisher Price toys is having no worry when Grayson does put it in his mouth, he has never managed to ruin one and never has a part come off with the danger of swallowing. What I loved about the remote as a parent, first that it is a great learning tool, with colours and basic words, also it is brightly coloured so you can be teaching colours as you press the buttons, but most importantly that the volume control is an actual volume control, you can turn the noise down – any parent will agree with me this is a magical must.

Addison also loves playing with the remote, she is more intrigued by what it says and did, I think this is a perfect toy for any child, certainly between 8/20 mths as it allows them to learn basic words and skills.

I had thought Addison would 1st notice the doll, she only has a couple of more “to be kept” dolls, no doll to play with and these past few weeks she has taken a lot more notice in anything cuddly toy like and she hangs it over her shoulder going “ahhh”, this doll is the softest material I have ever felt, it feels so lovely when you cuddle it and has the prettiest little face, it also rattles, to me this is the ideal 1st doll, I shall be buying this as a gift for a friend who is just about to have a little girl, Addison has played with it and does give it the most beautiful cuddles but the toy she ran to 1st and screamed at me until we unpacked was the Puppy.

Grayson had one of these given to him when he was 1st born, it was chosen as Mr Innocent Charmer had a similar version when he was a child, Grayson would always giggle when he was little when we pressed the buttons, when we moved we donated it to a local charity as Grayson needed more room for therapy toys and equipment. I had never thought about keeping for a baby number 2, silly I know.

So when Mr Innocent Charmer saw this in the bag I knew he was over the moon Addison would get to play with it.

She too giggles at it just as Grayson does, she loves all the different interactions the puppy makes, I think Fisher Price were very clever in choosing a dog, as most kids just seem to love doggies, Addison walks around with it going “woof, woof” – it’s not only a great toy to teach and aid developmental skills but all lovely and cuddly, very important as children of this age are all about lights/sounds and tactileness.

All in all we loved all 3 toys, I think they are so reasonably priced and as I said before you really know your children are safe playing with Fisher Price toys, a very important factor as a parent to a baby/toddler.

Disclosure – We were given these 3 toys FOC from Fisher Price in return for an honest and true review, all the opinions are 100% our own.
