Most Mummies and Daddies like to see their little girls in pretty dresses and to be honest we here at Innocent Charms Chats are no exception, but even at less than 2 years old Miss Addison has already started to make her feelings quite clear on the matter, she does not like them.
My little girl is a Tomboy, there is nothing wrong with this, her love for life and being comfortable in the process I have learnt to embrace, so when JoJo Maman Bebe asked if I would like her to road test one of their dresses I was a little panicked, I headed to their website and 1st ruled out all the beautiful pretty flowery dresses (although I must say they are stunning and I was highly tempted) but I then stumbled across about 6/7 dresses which I thought hey these may work, super cute without being too girly.
I picked the Breton Striped Dress, in Navy and White as it had reminded me of a lovely Navy/White outfit she wore the summer before, she really suits Navy.
I was unsure as to what size never buying from JoJo Maman Bebe before but my question’s were answered straight away as they have a very simple and informative size guide section for children and adults alike.
The dress arrived within 48 hours and the 1st thing I noticed was the excellent quality, it was a lovely thick cotton and so soft for my little girls skin.
I decided that when she was heading off for a Mother’s Day trip to visit her Nanny with Mr Innocent Charmer I would dress her in it as he loves to see her in a dress, but I knew she would be playing with her cousins so it would give it a real road test.
Straight away I noticed that when we put it on, unlike some other T-Shirt Dresses this one had lovely flowery buttons at the top so it was not too difficult to get over her head (she has a big head) the little pockets at the front were a super cute detail, which Addison enjoyed as she could put her toy phone in them.
Addison went all day in the dress, playing in the garden, climbing stairs, scaling TV cabinets as well as nice playing with Rubber Ducks and she moved with ease and comfort in the dress whilst look beautiful, don’t you agree ?
She never once moaned and tried to pull the dress off (unlike other dresses) so to me this puts the dress as a major win.
From a Mum’s point of view, the dress goes in the washer on a normal 40 degree wash and came out just as it had before it went in but clean, still lovely, soft with no shrinkage, it also was nearly crease free, serious bonus.
We love the dress and am going to also order in Strawberry Red for the Summer, they also do the cutest similar dress in a Tennis style, so I am hoping they shall be our summer staples and at £16 they are very good value for money.
Now just not to make sure I don’t break the bank on all the boys and baby boy clothes too.
Disclosure – We were sent the dress from JoJo Maman Bebe for review, the opinions and pictures are 100% our own.
