Home Life Project, Our Weekend In January 2017

Fellow Pinty Plus Ambassador Clare from Maybush Studio runs an inspiring project each month called “The Home Life Project”.

Back at the beginning of 2016 I joined in for a few months, it is such a lovely concept, especailly for a family like mine that do not often have big adventures every weekend.

The idea is to document your home life in photographs. No posed pictures, just photos of your family doing what they do every day to preserve a record of your routine for one day a month.

Many of you will now know that when I started the project last year was around the same time we received the news about Grayson. More than ever I wanted to record every aspect of our life, fearful that by the end of 2016 we would be living a new everyday. But as Grayson’s health became worse I just lost the will to blog for the project or most things.

But this year is the year I want to record our life, as this year we shall live and move home and have many firsts and I don’t want to miss any of it.

So here is our weekend…

The day started as they always do in our house, drawing and late breakfast for Mama. I have made a promise to myself to have fresh flowers as they make me smile.

The kids did some great modelling for me, Deacon of a new coat and all three in their new PJs from their Great Aunt, funny faces and all.

Our day ended very chilled out, playing with toys, watching favourite TV programmes and for me a sit down in my favourite corner with a new book.

I love this project and so glad I’m joining in this year. Your children look so happy together – and they are all getting so grown up x

    • He he. They argue so much.
It is a great project. Wish I had done more in 2016 xx
