>6 Week Challenge Begins

Well I bit the bullet and joined Laura’s fab idea of a 6 week weight loss program, she has made it look like it will be a lot of fun, including artistic ways to make it through the 6 weeks, plus chucking in some gentle exercise.

Please take a look at Laura’s blog for more details but our 2 challenges this week in short are..

Diet Challenge is to keep a food diary I happen to agree with Laura that this is one of the only ways you can successfully loose weight, up until Feb of this year I had lost 3 stone though doing this unfortunately since stopping I have put that back on plus another 4 taking me up to my heaviest. So we were to find a book/journal to either alter and make look pretty or to buy one off of Etsy, I have a book which I will alter tonight or tomorrow depending on time. Also this book will work as a place to write down our thoughts and a place for the artistic side of keeping the weight off. As well as this Laura would like us to take pictures of the food we eat in a day, this I believe is such a clever idea, cause you always sneak things.

Exercise Challenge – ugh don’t you just hate that word, lol, well she has made it quite simple a 30 min walk once a day on your own, giving you time to reflect, now I must add this is a pretty clever idea for me as I always need time to day dream, but the area I live is not particularly safe and by the time I get home it is usually getting dark and to be honest British weather has hit and its cold and wet, I am thinking I will do but will have to take hubby with me, I think we will drive 5 min down to beach. But tonight I am substituting for my cycle class I have just started, I get to listen to my Ipod so will be quite reflecting.

I really want to thank Laura she has made this way more exciting than I thought it would be, I am really going to enjoy trying this and leaving the chocolate in the cupboard, just not got a fab weekend ahead as to birthday dinners for my sisters birthday (joy of a divorced family) but I will do my best.

If anyone else wants to tag along and do this please do, I would love to hear how you get on.

Oh here is a couple of ATC piccy’s just to stop you being bored to death by this post.

Oh PS I forgot to tell you, I won a $25 gift cert from the amazing Lisa of Polkadot creations, I am sooooo happy, check out why I won here.

    >Have fun with the challenge! Working with friends is always an encouraging way to get things done!! You asked about aging papers in my collages, good old ink and a sponge. Preferably a porous one, and then just rub the edges. You can also run the paper along a stamp pad for a different and cool look. Have fun with your Mom’s collage! I think I am goignt omake one for my Mom for X-mas too! Amy 🙂
