I always thought when my kids got to the age were they would have a say over their own clothes it would be a little, eek! I have always believed they should have a choice in what they wore, I hated how we were forced to wear certain things as kids.
Addison these past months is definitely interested, she still lets me make the main choices but she likes to certainly have her say. As we headed out shopping a few weekends ago I had said to her about getting a denim skirt I had seen in Next, I explained that she could wear it with so many of her new tops and especially her bright coloured tights (she is loving tights at the moment). We ended up with a different Skirt, she chose a lovely vintage style one, she also picked a lovely plain denim dress and then we both saw this shirt, she wasn’t totally keen at first but then I explained she could wear with her new leggings and boots and she agreed.
This weekend she wore it for the first time out to dinner, she picked her leggings and then asked if I could roll the sleeves up slightly, she chose her accessories (she is so my kid) and she was done, I must say I am totally jealous of this outfit, I wish I could find a Plus Size shirt like this, it’s awesome.
Shirt – Next (Can’t find online but new season in store)
So do tell, do you let your kids have a say in what they wear ?
