I have many loves, but today I am embracing my love of Chairs. Yes, you read right Chairs, I truly love them, come would say I have an unhealthy obsession with them. I certainly have too many in my small home according to my husband and that is after I have sold some. Currently I think the total excluding highchairs and sofa’s (which I have 3 of each of) is running at 9, doesn’t sound masses but that is over only a couple of rooms.
I think the only way I can explain why I love Chairs is due to my love for architecture, I think Chairs offer a little amazing piece of architectural design whilst being of such an amazing everyday use, they are not just a piece of decoration, they are a piece of Art that you can actually use, to me spending £100 on a chair is better surely than spending £20 on a picture that is on the wall.
I am quite logical and don’t go and buy every chair I fall in love with, lucky really as when I walked though Marks and Spencer last week we could have had a problem as they currently have some truly beautiful chair designs.
Since Conran have been designing in M&S I constantly fall in love with pieces, I already very luckily have a Conran Desk from Marks and Spencer which I just love the retro feel of, it’s classic and so well made. In fact I have a beautiful 60’s chair similar in design to that of the chair (top right) at my desk.
I headed to Marks and Spencer Website to link up with this post and found some other gorgeous chairs, including the cute white ones in the bottom left of this picture, they would look great in my bedroom at the moment.
All these chairs come in several fabric choices too, now if only I can find an excuse to add one of them to my home, suggestions on how I can convince Mr Innocent Charmer ???
If you see any nice chairs on your travels please do share the links with me, if you are a chair lover don’t forget to follow my Chair Love Pin Board.
