This year is the year I embrace those items in my wardrobe still with tags. I am sure you all have them.
This is also the year I have had to learn to embrace flat shoes, in particular trainers. It isn’t hard though, trainers are amazing now, there
It isn’t hard though as there are so much style and colour choice.
In particular, I am a fan of Converse right now, you can get them to work with any outfit and these peach/rose gold beauties have barely come off my feet these past few months.
So back to dressing down Metallics.
In the words of Ruth “You know what Kara, if you DON’T have confidence you do a bloody good job of pretending because you always look so sure of what you’re wearing”.
So that’s what I did, I thought I can do this and left the house in my gorgeous silver skirt and trainers for Mother’s Day and do you know what I felt good!
As the skirt was such a focal point I wanted to keep the rest of the outfit simple, dressing it down for Spring. Denim shirts are a staple for any wardrobe all year and this Chambray one comes out a couple times a week. Then I simply added a couple of funky enamel pins and I was set.
The outfit was perfect for our Mothers Day fun, we had lunch, shopped a little and then played in local gardens.
Do you own an item that is sitting in the wardrobe as you just don’t know how to style it? I am no guru but I am happy to chat how I would with you.
