It has been such a crazy week, I felt like I did not do anything other than appointments and work. Thankfully I had a nice day with my Big Boy whilst the kids were at school yesterday and we enjoyed a nice cafe (or two).
My to do lists have just got longer, but at least I finished a book and moved onto another and the first signs of Spring are happening in our Garden.
Grab a cuppa and see what I have been loving this week….
I finished Of Mice and Men and although I really liked the last 20% of the book it didn’t win me over. I am hoping the performance shall be better tonight.
Whilst at the Doctors I had a little rummage through the Charity books and picked up Ruth Hogan’s The Keeper Of Lost Things. I had seen it feature in quite a few online book clubs so for 20p I thought why not. I am only 10 pages in so far so I shall let you know how it goes.
As I sat on the wall and watched the kids ride their bikes after school this week I spotted the first signs of Spring outside the front of our house. I must say I was very pleased as I am hoping better weather is on its way. Although they are giving warnings for snow.
Last weekend Deacon was at the Grandparents, this always means one thing Craft time for Addison and I. We both love to craft but Deacon always causes disruption so it is always nice to have one on one time.
Addison received a large pot of Hama Beads at Christmas so we opened that up, scrolled Pinterest and got busy. I have to say I love Hama Beads and feel like having Addy is a great excuse for me to get to create.
It’s all about the Beauty products this week.
For my Birthday Ashley bought me my first Urban Decay palette. I had wanted one for some time now but could never justify spending the money. Well it is totally worth it. They are so pigmented and last all day. The Heat palette is not everyone’s colour choices but with it being Winter and my Red hair I feel it is perfect for me. Even if I wear a lighter colour all over my lid I can underline with the darker shades and they make my Blue eyes pop.
Ashley was lucky enough to be sent a gift in the post from Yardley of some Gold Aftershave. I had to share with you all as we were hugely impressed. Not only is the smell a true masculine scent, with notes of oriental woods and sweet spices but it is a steal on Amazon at under £10, nice little Valentines gift maybe.
…the crashes of the waves. I do think there is something about the sound of the sea at any time of year which is good for the soul. Actually a lot of the time I prefer it at this time of year as the waves crash so hard against the sea walls.
Yesterday we headed for a day out as I mentioned just my Big Boy and I, we made sure to go and spend 10 minutes down by the Sea, more for me, I needed headspace and it really helped.
Corners of my Home is back on the blog. I am so pleased with plans for this year as every month another blogger will feature a corner of their home alongside mine. There is nothing I love more than working with the community and bloggers who I admire and I already have some truly great ones lined up.
If you have a few minutes go check out this months Children’s Room inspiration and if you have a blog post or Instagram you would like to share then link up.
