Mood Board // Main Bathroom

I am finally going to get round to sharing our new home and how we are/going to decorate it.

As you know I am obsessed with interior design so my blog shall be focussing on it a little over the next few months for sure, the only thing holding up finishing off the house at the moment is funds, but that doesn’t mean I can’t create shopping/design mood boards for when we have them.

This week as I was awake at 3am I decided how I want to style our Main Bathroom which is also for guests. At Christmas my Mom in the middle of Tesco asked me to pick new towels, I went with Grey and Yellow as I think they were the colours in my head at the time, but something was missing.

Then it hit me at 3am, before we moved to our new home I bought a very cute little blue and white Moroccan style bowl, after I bought it I decided that our bedroom would style around it. What a great idea for a lovely warm bedroom.

Then I found our Jonathon Adler wall stickers and the bedroom reformed (another post on that soon). So my lovely little bowl has been floating from room to room unsure where to be placed. So I decided how beautiful would a Morccan-esque Bathroom be ?

So Yellow, Blue, White and hints of Grey are the colours. Our current bathroom is a new plain white suit, white subway tiles with grey grout and grey flooring. (Want to see more see it on our Home Tour VLOG)

I have of course been pining like mad, this photo (below) is the one that made me sure on the scheme, I love the heavy blue and white tiles with the pop of yellow.

blue and yellow bathroom

I started to think I would do the same, the main pieces being white/blue and then pops of yellow, as I love how it works.

Moroccan towels

The towels are a really exciting find, I was unsure if I would get towels in the UK as I had in my head, so I was over the moon when I found them at John Lewis, the tile transfers I think would look fab framed as art on the walls, I was thinking of buying tiles, but this would be a cheaper way and much easier to frame.

The clock is made with Moroccan tiles and for under £20 is a must! Our bathroom only has a small amount of wall space so I am excited to fill some with this as it will be a real focal point, plus I will not spend too long in the shower in the mornings then.

I was excited to find the little storage basket at H&M, always great homeware, this will be perfect to store little bits in or even maybe flannels I haven’t decided yet.

Next on my list is to find a liquid soap dispenser that will work, I need to buy a little storage unit, so I think that shall be second-hand and then I can up-cycle it to tie in.

I am raring to get started and show you the finished result, blue is a real favourite of mine and doesn’t seem to feature anywhere in our home so this room will bring that much-needed blue in and finally my little bowl will have somewhere to settle.

ps. Has anyone ever shopped at Zazzle or CafePress before as that is where the tile transfers and clock are from?
