Mrs Emily Clark, The Upcycling Mum

I am so excited to share Emily’s guest post with you this month, not only does she come to us with another great Upcycle but also some exciting news so keep reading…

Everyone now knows I love a good upcycle. I have done several pieces for our home and love the results.

I had seen a lovely coffee table in the charity and when I went back and it was still there, I just had to get it. I loved the shape of it and knew I could do something with it.

I am trying to use up the paint I have in the cupboard so it was down to Little Greene French Grey paint again.
First job though was to sand the top. Somebody had painted black over the wood (and very badly!) It took a lot is sanding and achy arms but in the end I removed it all.

table-upcycleA couple of coats of Danish oil and it looked amazing. French Grey underneath and a coat of wax and it was transformed into a different table.

I have decided to try to sell this and some other pieces. I love the change and making something like new again. There are so many lovely bits to be found especially in charity shops.
