Deacons welcome to the world party ended up a little of a disaster.
Most people cancelled, I forgot to buy any party decs, the weather was very hot & sticky, landlord didn’t cut the garden and Grayson was in a bad mood.
But despite all that we did have fun, Deacon was on his best behaviour & some wonderful friends came including the beautiful Bex The Mummy Adventure who escaped her hospital room for the day (thanks Bex).
I am not sure if every Mummy is like me but I always like to make sure even if just in the back garden the babies have lovely smart outfits to wear to a party. Another thing I had forgotten to organise, so I was over the moon when the morning before the lovely people at Name It sent a parcel with goodies for all 3.
Grayson was sent the cutest Shorts & Tee which had a nautical theme. First thing that hits you is the sheer quality of the clothes. Soft & thick. The designs are rich & simple.
We love the shorts more than anything. They are tailored & can be worn either smart or casual. They are a fab thick linen and iron, wear and wash well. (He has worn them twice a week since they arrived).
Grayson was in fact sent 2 tee’s, a long sleeve and a short sleeve, both are the just what I would choose, they are striking and look fantastic on him, don’t you think.
Addison too wore her new dress to the party, when I opened the package I was worried as the dress was 18/24mths, although short she is a bit set through her middle and usually would wear 2/3yrs for this reason, but this dress fit perfectly, it had a fab shape and was beautifully lined.
We both loved the pattern, Addison can be funny about dresses but this one she wore all day with ease, I think the fact that it had an A shape meant she could run and play in the garden and felt free enough.
I did panic as Addison is not the most delicate or tidy little girl (just like her Mummy) and by the end of the day this beautiful new dress was covered in food, ice cream, mud and grass stains, I had typically run out of Vanish too, but I risked it and washed on a standard 40 degree wash, the dress washed out lovely, the red did not fade and it barely needed ironing, always nice.
Deacon kindly received a Baby Grow and a blanket, he hasn’t as of yet worn the babygrow as it has been a little too warm, but the blanket we have used most nights, it’s the softest fabric I have ever felt and when he has his night feed I wrap it round him and it strokes my arm. It has the cutest car motif which I love, he doesn’t have any blankets like this one so I can see it being used for many many years to come.
Thankfully although Deacon being Welcomed Into The World did not go as I had imagined everyone commented on how beautiful my babies looked and in part that is thanks to Name It.
Do head over and look at their website, our shopping list is already very large, there will be some clothes from Name It Kids wrapped up under our Christmas Tree for sure.
Disclosure – We were sent clothes from Name It for purpose of review, all the opinions are our own and 100% honest.
