Lets be honest, although making a picnic pretty is very important (well to me anyway), the food is the most important part.
When we go out for picnics they tend to be a long day sort of deal, we love nothing more than to spend a whole Sunday at the park on rugs, whilst the kids kick balls and make up random games.
So after we have gone through the main part of the food, there needs to be a good supply of healthy snacks to munch on to stop us eating the endless amounts of crisps and sweets.
Ape Coconut Curls fit the bill perfectly, in a bag like crisps but that’s where the similarity ends. In Slightly Salted and Slightly Peppered flavour these coconut curls are free from gluten, wheat and dairy, perfect for our little family of funny diet requirements.
They were surprisingly smaller than I had expected, I personally did not love them but I think that is more that I am not a huge coconut lover, but Ashley and the kids really enjoyed them, even Grayson could give them a try.
Ashley thought they were the perfect healthy snack and was surprised how much flavour they had for little calories, even better they are high in fibre and protein.
We both agreed they are a perfect picnic snack and have stocked up on a few packs to introduce friends to over the Summer months.
If you are a coconut lover then head out and buy some, they can be found in Morrisons and Co-op.
