Taste Test // Whitby Scampi

The Hubby loves Scampi, personally I am not a fish person but I was always have some Scampi in the freezer ready to make him a nice lunch or dinner when I fancy something light.

Whitby Seafoods is one of the UK’s largest Scampi companies and they make sure they only sell Scampi collected in British waters which are protected and checked to quota.

They  source the best ingredients to make all their different types of Scampi and feel it is the forgotten gem of the sea and they want to change that, so they sent us a couple of packs to remind you all why to buy Scampi.

Whitby Scampi Review

So what did the Mr think ?

It was very good and tasty, better than the usual brands we eat, much fresher taste, hard to believe it wasn’t caught that day. I have had fresh scampi and it was just as good.

So how did we serve it ?

First as a lunch, we love Flour Tortillas here and they are a much lighter alternative to bread, all I did was oven cooked, added some tartar sauce and served with a small salad, chips and freshly squeezed lemonade, as Scampi and Lemon is a winning combo.

Whitby Scampi Lunch

For Dinner it had to be the traditional route of Scampi, homemade chips, mushy peas and a side salad. Of course with the Mr’s favourite Tartar sauce ( I must try making my own).

How would you serve Scampi ? I am always looking for new ways.
