I worried about what to wear the whole week before, but still on the Friday morning 3 hours before my train I had not decided or packed. Next year I will not make this mistake.
I of course knew I would share my outfit, but I could not pretend I was the best dressed, there were so many people I looked at and wished I had that outfit, or asked where did you buy those shoes to.
So in true red carpet style I am going to share with you some of the outfits worn on the Saturday by various awesome bloggers, I would have loved to have got more but lost the sheer nerve to go up and ask people.
So if you were at BritMumsLive and you have shared your outfit, leave me a link below and I will add to the post for everyone to go and check out.
First up is the very beautiful and colour coordinated Lisa from HollyBobbs. She did not make the mistake (as I did) of wearing heels, she had some truly gorgeous gladiator sandals on and was rocking a great neon pink. On the Friday Lisa also wore a beautiful dress(which I wish I had pictured) and seemed to pick the perfect clothes for the event.
Lisa is a great blogger/vlogger and frequently features kids fashion so go check her out.
As soon as I saw her on the Saturday I knew I wanted to take her picture, her dress was gorgeous and she teamed it with red tights which worked brilliantly, I personally love coloured tights so this outfit is in my top 5 for sure. The dress would also look awesome as a tunic over some skinny jeans don’t you think?
Do check out Amber’s blog, she is currently up for a MADs award which is awesome, she has the 2 of the cutest little twin boys ever, once you visit her blog you will be broody!
I was over the moon Nat of Style Me Sunday agreed for me to take her photo. I literally always have a girl crush on Nat and what she wears. She is a walking advert of how I would dress if I had her figure and confidence.
The simplicity of a denim dress should never be overlooked as you can see this outfit is all about the accessories, from the gorgeous Swedish Hasbeen clogs (which I want) to the scarf tied all 50’s, this outfit shows her style and love for fashion.
Nat’s blog is probably my favourite fashion blog, each week she hosts Street Style Sunday with 2 other great bloggers where you can link up fashion posts from the week.
Becky blogs at The Mummy Adventure. I loved her outfit on the Saturday, she went with a bang on trend look this season the skinny dungarees and she looked fab! Teamed with a cute vest with bird details, simple plait in her hair and flip-flops her look was a favourite of mine.
Sometimes it is all about less is more, she looked comfy and so rocking. With the perfect accessory her gorgeous little 4 month old Finn who was rocking bright dino’s as her house(like ours) is dino crazed.
Check out Becky’s blog for all things family and to see more of her 3 cute little boys.
I love Emma’s outfit, stripes and jeans are always a great way to go, it is a classic that I tend to do an awful lot myself as it looks great for any occasion.
Lucy told me she was a little anxious when she put her outfit on but she had not needed to be, again with classic stripes but this time with a little A-Line skirt showing off her new earnt figure, I love how she made it casual with the addition of little pumps.
Do check out both girls blogs, both have cute little boys similar in age to Deacon and Emma shares about her weight loss journey and Lucy of her over 6 stone weight loss.
Pippa of Story of Mum kindly sent me this picture. I had stopped her on the day to tell her how fabulous her dress was but did not have the nerve to ask for a photo (I will do better next year I promise). She kindly agreed to send me this one after chatting on IG. The dress is from a local company to Pippa in Penzance called Seasalt, she also can you believe it had matching knickers on, now that is awesome. She told me also the best thing about the dress is inside there is a little message to you “you look lovely today”, I love this, what a great thing to do, a little positive pick me up.
I was so honoured to go to the session Pippa co hosted with Karin about Embracing Happy, I came away feeling so happy and inspired so check out Pippa’s blog for much the same.
And Lastly my outfit on Saturday…
I honestly can say i was not 100% happy with my outfit and the more I look at it I am not. I love all the pieces of the outfit but somehow not together.
I wore my hair up, which I love doing and it is amazing how many people didn’t recognise me after having it as a bob the day before.
My Kimono and Trousers are both from SimplyBe, I love the fringe detail on the Kimono and it was great for making me feel less self-conscious but not getting to hot. I teamed with a simple white tee from Forever21+ and my Moheda clogs which I love.
So that gives you a taster of some of the outfits at this years BritMumsLive, what I do love about bloggers is how creative we are, no 2 outfits are remotely the same, we all dress to show our personality and there is no judgement, you can feel comfortable wearing what you like.
