I was last week emailed to take part in a competition with Oxo Good Grips to devise a recipe using their new 3-in-1 Avocado Slicer.
The slicer can Split, pit, slice and scoop avocados safely and effectively, now I myself have very rarely eaten avocado, mainly in Mexican in Guacamole, but I knew my Stepmum loved avocado and is a serious dab hand in the Kitchen, so I thought this would be way more up her street.
I wasn’t wrong, within 24hrs of having the slicer she had made her and her friends a lovely lunch, which I must say I am a little jealous I didn’t try.
Oxo did not request us to share these recipes or the slicer but my Stepmum was very impressed with the slicer and I was with her recipe so I thought I would show you all.
Red Pepper (chopped)
Butter Bread, lay Lettuce leaves and red peppers on top.
Fry Mushrooms and Bacon to taste, whilst cooking lay the Brie slices on top of the lettuce and peppers.
Peel and Slice the avocado (with ease) using the Oxo Good Grips 3-in-1 Advacado Slicer.
Transfer whilst still hot the Bacon and Mushrooms on top of the Brie, then lay avocado slices on top.
Sprinkle with choice of Salad Dressing and Enjoy.

On the subject of the Avocado Slicer RRP £8, which I think is very reasonable, it is dishwasher proof (top rack) and my Stepmum says it literally does everything you need to prepare and Avocado to eat, she is very pleased to have it in her kitchen drawer.
