B & Q sell everything to makeover your house, well near enough.
I was kindly invited to their Christmas in July Press Day, I was excited to go and see the new Autumn/Winter lines as well as see the new Christmas Decs expected this year. As many of you will know I love anything to do with making my home look pretty, decorating for me is fun! So I was looking forward to seeing what wallpapers would be trending and paint colours.
What I wasn’t expecting was how much B & Q actually sell, I mean they are not just a nuts and bolts DIY store anymore and after seeing so many gorgeous home furnishings I had to spread the word.
I can bet you any money you are overlooking B & Q when you are thinking of new cushions, or a funky on trend light fitting, even a lovely Christmas throw to wrap in and wait for Santa to arrive.
Here are some of my top finds from the day, but do head to B&Q’s website to check out all the current stock.
Nearly all in this photo is available from B & Q – I loved the Xmas throw in the bottom left – max of £25
These were one of my favourite items to come this Autumn, these lights are a soft rubbery plastic and can be manipulated into may shapes (as seen above) they are completely child friendly and I shall be buying one for each of the kids by their beds, there is so much colour choice, expected to retail at under £25 they are a real steal.
B & Q offer a wide range of Artwork, I loved these glitter detail canvases – the Think Happy piece would be awesome in our home surrounded by family photo’s – I love the colours pastel/neon on trend.
There were more Christmas Trees than I can even talk about, for every style and budget, I actually fell in love this one for all year round, this would be a perfect addition for Grayson’s room as the lights are subtle and similar to that in a sensory room, this tree is also an indoor/outdoor tree, I was surprised how many were – I would love this outside in the garden. It comes in 2 sizes too.
There were lights for outside for every style, the Father Christmas is an exclusive design to B&Q – I loved the old-fashioned lanterns – they would be fab by our front door for Santa to find us
My inner chair lover went mad for these, actually this style is right up my street even all the dishes, I felt at home here
Copper lighting is HUGE AW14 and I loved B&Q’s contribution, it has sparked a whole new want for my home (watch this space) – the shadow detailing of this lamp is awesome
One of the most surprising finds from B&Q were their soft furnishings, I loved all the cushions with quotes and different textures, especially the pompoms round the edge
I loved the simplicity of this Christmas centrepiece, I think I shall be making something similar – nice to see such an array of coloured decs available this Winter at B&Q
So does anything above surprise you, or take your fancy ?
Disclosure – I received a goody bag for attending the event but was not asked to post, it was my choice.
