Movie Nights are becoming a modern-day family treat. It is something I have personally looked forward to doing with our kids for a few years now. Getting all cozy under a blanket on the sofa, treats in hand, Disney film on the TV and many giggles.
Well it happened, this weekend, we did just that and with one of my all time favourite films…
TOY STORY
My kids know all about Toy Story, being a firm favourite of Ashley’s and mine they have had the toys for years, I mean who doesn’t love Woody and Rex. We even had a Toy Story party back in 2015. But can you believe they had never seen the original film?
It never dates, look it could have been made this year.
As the opening scene started Ash made this comment and I think he is right. The Toy Story series of films and shorts (check out the App Store if you haven’t seen them) really appeal to not only children (and adults) when they first started back in 1995 but now over 10 years later.
Everyone has their favourite character when B&M sent us out a movie night box there was no fighting over the toys as they are all loved. Although as you can see Deacon has really taken to his new pal Woody, he hasn’t left his grip (or mouth) since he arrived.
B&M have a huge selection of Toy Story toys and goodies in store, after a visit this week I think a new Rex may be wrapped up for Deacon’s Birthday, I also need to head over to Thinkway Toys and see if I can find Trixie as he really wants both.
It was magical hearing the kids giggle as Buzz and Woody come to blows and then how straight their faces went as they watched hoping the heroes would make it to Andy’s new house.
The next day the first thing the kids asked to watch was Toy Story 2, Addison is already a HUGE fan of Jessie, what type of parents would we be if we hadn’t said yes, so this weekend ended up with 2 movie nights, bet you can guess what they asked for this morning?
2019 can not come soon enough in this house, I wish they would speed up and release Toy Story 4 next year but I am sure it will be worth the wait.
Have your kids seen the Toy Story series? If not I urge you to set up your own little movie night this weekend, although I warn you they will want to watch all 3 once you have seen the first.
If you love Toy Story then you must come and check out the Twitter party I shall be hosting along with Thinkway Toys on June 27th, 1-2.30pm. We will be chatting all fun things Toy Story as well as giving away some B&M vouchers, so save the date in your diary.
