Frame It Friday // A Look Round Em’s Walls

I am back with another look round a great persons home. Today the very beautiful and funky Emma, Emmadventures on Instagram. We met last year when I was running #StyleItKids and she brought her lovely daughter into my world.

I wish we lived closer as Em’s daughter Lola and Addison would be the best of friends I am sure of it and in turn so would we, we both have a love of beautiful things and a nice Gin.

So onto Em’s amazing home…

The first thing I noticed about Em’s photos was her love for sharing family life, something you all know is crazy important to me.

Lola has grown so fast, I enjoy reflecting on our journey together. I’m a complete happy snapper &  I like to capture & photographically document our lives together. We are lucky to live in York so have a stunning backdrop to our photos. Living in Yorkshire means we are never more than an hour away from the Sea, Dales, Forest & The Moors.

You’ll probably notice. Colour. Lots of it! I love white walls & minimal but they just don’t work for me in our home. They’re more likely to make me feel anxious & I immediately have to slap some colour on the walls!

I love these, the colours are amazing and I wish I could see Em’s house in real life. The fauxroid collage on the left is something I have been wanting to do for ages and that so going to happen once we move. The image on the right shows a family frame up in Lola’s Room (Em’s Daughter), I can not believe we have no photos in our kids room, something Addison has been asking for so that goes to top of the list when we move.

One of my favourite artists is Rene Gruau. I have quite a few of his prints around my home.  I love that his paintings are so expressive while seeming quite simplistic.

This is why I love hosting Frame It Friday, I love Art and finding new Artists, these prints are beautiful Em and I would love them in my home.

The other recurring theme throughout the house is Peacock feathers. I just love their amazing colours.  Here are a couple that Lola & I found while out walking at Castle Howard.

Oh Emma really talks to my soul, only this week I said to Ashley that I was feeling inspired by Peacocks for Interiors (post coming soon) and then I see this – just beautiful.

Thanks so much Em for sharing your AMAZING Art with us, I really wish I could come and see your home in person it looks awesome, so much inspiration for you all.
