I must say yesterday morning I was a little sad that the kids were returning to school. That honestly does not often happen as having all 3 of them at home, especially in the colder months is hard work.
Addison and Deacon bore easily, no matter the fact they have more toys than a toy shop they are both about having adventures, not necessarily big ones, just being out and about experiencing the world, very much like their Daddy.
With a child like Grayson this can be a little tough, he doesn’t cope well with cold temperatures and with Sensory Processing Disorder the outside world can be terrifying. But this half term, on the days I wasn’t at work we decided to make some new memories.
The Turner Contemporary
Although I love Art Galleries and we only live 20 minutes away I had never been. It is a perfect place to take kids, very relaxed, plenty of space, interactive exhibits and a create table for them to draw what they have been inspired by. What more it is free and right on the beach.
Play Parks
Living out in the country everything is quite far away, but we do have quite a few play parks and recently two of our local ones have been updated and they are perfect for a fun few hours.
Even better one of the parks is lovely and flat with hard surfaces so my two Scooter crazed kids got to have a good practice.
Addison has a 2 wheel scooter since Christmas and she loves that it matches her Lola Scootaheadz that she was sent to show off.
The Scootaheadz simply slips on to any Scooter (or even her bike) and they ride around together making memories.
All her friends love her Lola and how special she makes her Scooter, Deacon has put Timmy T-Rex on his Birthday list to turn his green scooter into a Dinosaur. They are the perfect gift for any kid.
Craft Fun and Spa Time
When we have got home from our mini adventures my top tips for keeping the kiddos entertained are crafts from Flying Tiger, Painting Nails, Long Baths with bath bombs and temporary Tattoos from Little and Fierce.
What have you been up to over the half term, we would love to find new ideas.
*We were sent the Scootaheadz for review but all views are our own.
