Being poorly sucks, it happens a lot for me due to my Lupus, but I am learning a new way of dealing with it.
I am not letting it get me down, I am fighting through and focussing on positives.
One day soon I will share a book (I hope) but I just don’t seem to get the time. But I am loving my middle of the night blog post reads. Now if only I could remember them to share with you.
The most recent that has inspired me was from Kirsty of My Two Mums, she discussing identity and what it means to be labelled, very heart-felt and educational.
Well I shall not lie I have watched the 1st episode of OITNB, to be honest I was a little disappointed after the last season so probably why I haven’t gone out of my way to watch more, but I have been assured they get much better.
I have caught up on Penny Dreadful this week though, I was also not finding the second season as good but it is finally starting to heat up again.
Does anyone else watch it ?
But most importantly I am loving wearing my new hair, blonder, turquoise block and major undercut meaning I can wear in so many different ways as the outfit posts show.
I was lucky enough to attend Blogtacular this week (not sure you can tell) and I heard some truly inspiring speakers, Grace Bonney of Design*Sponge really spoke to how I was feeling, Zoe from Pinterest was hugely informative as always but the Instagram Panel I loved, I follow all 4 on IG and love them. It was so interesting hearing all their perspectives on IG and so awesome hearing liked minded lovers of my favourite social media.
(Post to follow about Blogtacular but just check out some awesome ones written already).
Making things is a massive enjoyment for me and something I am going to start doing more regularly.
This week I got a bit crafty, all Blogtacular related again, the Necklace I quickly made the night before to wear on the day, it is made up of Copper, Turquoise and pink gemstones as well as a few Swarovksi pearls to accent, I don’t love it so I may pull apart and start again.
In the goody bag we received a taster of the new LollipopDesigns and Blogtacular planner, I have fallen out of love with my Filofax so am giving it a try, I am a planner addict after all. I loved that it was plain as it was crying out for me to make it mine, I used little bits from the day, along with some photos, stickers and quotes I love. The back I have left space to write quotes that make me happy.
What do you think ?
On the subject of happiness quotes I have decided now is the time to regain control of my happiness. I am making small changes with a long-term goal in place, I am going to be blogging my journey but for now I have realised that promoting happiness is what makes me stay happy and focus, so each day I am sharing a motivational happy quote on Instagram. I think it will work for me but also hopefully help some people in my feed along the way.
Here was day one and you can find on my feed or the hashtag #quoteofhappy
