National Stationery Week // Pencil Day

National Stationery Week » Blogger of the Year

This year I am very excited to have been asked to be part of the National Stationery Week blogging team, it is all about Writing Matters, which pleases me muchly.

Every day this week I shall be coming to you with a post on the prompt set for that day, if you fancy joining in here are the prompts for the week, don’t forget to follow the hashtag #NATSTATWEEK as there are so many giveaways and tweets going out.

Today is all about the humble Pencil, an item past schooldays most people forget, personally I love writing in pencil, the fact that you can erase it, can draw, write, sketch the possibilities are endless.

I think my love for pencils is partly the comfort I feel with a pencil like back in Primary School, I was so excited for getting to the last year and getting that writing pen but the pencil always stayed close by, it didn’t  matter if you made a mistake with pencil.

So I thought I would share a couple of my top pencil picks I have seen on the internet and hopefully the Pencil will be in charge once again.

Neon Times Table Pencils

If you want fun Stationery then head to Smiggle – I love these Times Tables Pencils

Staedler Pencil

I always have a traditional Staedtler Norris Pencil as they really remind me of school days, but I would very much like to add one of their new Stylus Pencils to my collection as would be brilliant on Blogging evenings and also for the kids.

Personalised Pencil Pot

Lastly look at this adorable personalised pencil pot** from I Just Love It – we had some made for Addison for her Birthday (ssh) as there is nothing better than personalised Stationery in this addicts opinion. There are 4 designs to choose from too.

What are your thoughts on pencils ? Do you have a fondness for them as I do ? I am now on the look out for some nice motivational quote pencils to send to some fellow Stationery Lovers like me, I think it will be an awesome gift.

I had to share as I looked through the Hashtag on Twitter this morning I came across this tweet below and it just sums up what I am saying in this post, what can be achieved with a simple Pencil.
