When I was a little girl Laura Ashley was my parents favourite shop. All our dresses were Laura Ashley as my parents loved the quality and how twee they would have us look.
30 years on I love their dresses much more than I did then but unfortunately they just don’t fit this Plus Size Mama. But its ok as they sell the most amazing Homewares and guess what …
Homeware always fits!
It had been well over a year since I had been in Laura Ashley, darn Scandi/Industrial trends.
Back in November with a voucher in hand (thanks #Homeetc) I headed in and what a wish list I now have.
Laura Ashley have pieces in store which are not only beautiful, on trend but are also timeless, it’s not just all twee floral pillows.
My favourite piece I think shows that the most. The Whitworth Brown Leather chair has a mid-century feel whilst looking modern and up to date.
I can imagine curling up in the evenings book in hand, blanket over my legs, music playing and candles burning. Or Ashley even relaxing whilst watching TV, it is a chair for all occasions.
My wish list is even greater but I thought I would share some of my top picks.
The Grey Putney wall clock ended up on my list due to its size, its lovely, big and has presence. I love the simplicity, allowing it to be the centre of any room.
I think every home should have a Glass Cake Stand, for coffee mornings, birthday cake or just for your weekly treats. Or maybe even use to style for the season with trinkets on your table.
This wood panel map is currently on sale and will complement any home. In person the map is breathtaking, a real show stopper, the picture does not do it justice.
Plants finish every home, I personally feel happier having them in each room. But with children running around I think this beautiful Terrarium would be a stylish way to have a plant on my coffee table safely.
Laura Ashley has products that will work with any room style and you can furnish absolutely every room in your home from one shop.
I am excited as this week I am ordering the Whitworth Chair to style my Living Room so come by for Corners Of My Home In February to see it in place.
