String Shelf Love And Inspo

I have some major obsessions in my life, Interiors is one and owning a String Shelf is part of that.

I own so many impractical things which have cost a lot of money, I am starting to remember life is too short and those pretties should be used everyday, so my Cath Kidston tea set is drunk from, my vintage solid silver clutch is used. Life is for living.

But more importantly lately, my loves seem not to only be beautiful but practical, must come with being a Mum. String Shelves fall into that bracket.

Invented by Nils Strinning, the Swedish Shelving System has been going strong since 1949. There have been many additions and my favourite is the Pocket String.

If I receive enough Christmas gift money I am buying myself one, I have been longing for one for over 2 years and every time I have saved the money a crappy cost comes up, like a new washing machine.

I have a whole board on Pinterest of String Love, below are my top 4 faves, they are so versatile and can be used in every room in your house.

The question is which colour ?

I am going to put it in my Living Room to sit by my beloved G Plan sideboard to house some of my retro cuteness, I am kinda of drawn to the yellow, I do have a love for yellow, but in my heart I know the white shall be more practical, what would you do ??

*NB I finally got that string and I let my heart win and bought yellow, take a look here.
