Taste Test // Brewers Fayre, Margate

We were invited by Brewers Fayre so we could find out all about the great things they do for kids.

We like to go out for a meal at least once a month with the kids, we have done it ever since they were little in the hope they would know how to behave out and about. But that does not mean they still don’t need entertaining.

Unlike most restaurants Brewers Fayre offer even more to entertain children than the standard colouring packs. You are firstly given an activity pack, which has games, colouring and even cartoons to read. I love it as it is Dennis the Menace, the kids had never heard of him but soon loved hearing the stories and it was lovely to rekindle some of my youth.

Brewers Fayre Review

Depending on location Brewers Fayre also offer free balloons and face painting for children, many also have indoor and/or outdoor play areas too, you just have to check the website in advance and they show you what each restaurant in your local area has to offer.

We headed to The Promenade at Margate about 25 minutes from our house, it sits right on Margate Seafront so has wonderful views (even in the rain) and is just by the new Dreamland.

Margate offers both an indoor soft play area (£3 for 90 minutes) and a great outdoor play area (which is free) both with tables right by them for families.

The kids loved this, Addison especially who is the perfect age to enjoy it and make friends, it is great at keeping them entertained whilst you wait for your meals, which in this case was such a short wait.

I loved how the children’s menu is totally customisable, each meal comes with 2 sides and you can change these to anything on the list, so for example Deacon had Pasta with chips and veggie sticks and it must have been delicious as he polished it all off. They are a great price to at under £4 each.

Ashley went for the mixed grill and I the steak, both very reasonably priced and such generous portions. The food was incredibly tasty and we both ate every last bite.

Meals at Brewers Fayre

There is a massive choice of meals, including sharing platters and vegetarian options.

We could not leave withouBrowniet trying the deserts as they have them on display teasing you (warning if you are on a diet), Ashley went for a Sundae where as I had a lovely chocolate brownie, both were so moorish and Ash commented he thinks it is one of the best Sundaes he had ever had.

I think most importantly though I have to talk about level of customer service. It was incredible, the staff were very hospitable, checking if we needed anything, brilliant at accommodating Grayson’s needs and so polite. I think hands down some of the best restaurant staff I have ever met.

We certainly shall be returning to The Promenade, it has so much to offer for families, also a great place for us to meet up friends with children and enjoy company, chatting and meanwhile there is so much for the kids to do.

I especially want to go back and try after 5pm as every evening they offer Chef Counter buffet style meals where you can eat as much as you like for £6.99, probably a Tuesday as it is Mexican night and we all know I love Mexican.

I would love to hear if you have ever tried a Brewers Fayre, what are your thoughts ?
