Buying a National Trust membership was a great decision.
It allows for great family days out, exploring new places suitable for us all, exercise, picnics and most importantly to our little family having new adventures!
The White Cliffs of Dover is only a 20-minute drive from home but we had yet to explore. Mainly due to the weather as the kids just don’t have suitable all-weather clothing, well until now.
Trespass kindly sent Addison and Deacon some new pieces so that we can now get out on our adventures no matter the weather.
…and lucky they did, as the White Cliffs are one of the most beautiful views we have ever seen. On a good day you can easily see France but on the day we went it was overcast and very windy.
The first thing Addison said was
Wow I love my new coat Mummy, it is keeping me very cozy in this strong wind.
That it can, the Valette Waterproof Jacket is not only waterproof but windproof, with padded fleece lining she was seriously snug as a bug. Her top three pros for the coat are…
- The Pink coat with Purple detailing ( favourite colour combo)
- Loads of pockets for little treasures she finds on her adventure, including a secret one
- That the cuffs can pull in (velcro cuffs) so no wind gets in my arms
I love that it’s washable and that when we are out on an adventure I can see her for miles. I love to give our kids the freedom to explore, like looking at the “Fairy Boats”, Ferries crossing the Chanel and finding secret snail homes.
Her outfit, of course, would not have been complete for the long walk and puddle jumping without some new wellies, that match her coat. We love plain wellies and these Trumpet purple wellies are nice and soft underfoot and as you can see handled the White Cliffs pathways well.
Deacon is an adventurer, he loves to climb and go places he really shouldn’t. So the Trespass Giz Gaz Kids Walking Boots are a godsend.
Deacons first thoughts…
- They are like Granny’s boots, we will be able to go on walks together
- They are like Bob The Builder boots, very strong and I can stomp loudly
- Mummy these are so comfy and cosy on my toes
Not only are they perfect for a little boy to climb as they have excellent grip, even though they only state water-resistant Deacon being Deacon did go in puddles and his feet never got wet.
I was worried they would be too restricting but he loves them and chooses to wear them whenever he can, what more they support his ankle and foot, Addison has requested the purple and black pair.
Whilst on his adventures Deacon is always running around getting hot so we went with a lighter Max Boys Waterproof Jacket. Although lightweight this jacket is by no means not protective. Waterproof 5,000mm it is tapered so water can’t sneak in. This also means nor can the wind. Deacon loved how soft this jacket was on.
Like with Addison’s jacket being a bright colour means I can spot him all the time, allowing him to have some of that much-wanted freedom to be a “grown up kid”, which also means filling the pockets with treasures from his adventure.
We had a lovely but short visit to the White Cliffs but can not wait to go back. The best thing on all our adventures now we know the kids are well protected with their Trespass goodies. I am totally won over with the quality and need to order the Superhero one of their lined coats as to this day I had never found anything that could keep him warm enough.
