Whilst I love the amount of choice I now have online to buy Plus Size Fashion, there is still something so fun about going into a store and trying clothes on, even more so going in to a shop and everything in the store fits me. Up to now unless I visited London or Lakeside this was not possible, but as of last week that has all changed.
Last week Yours Clothing opened their second biggest store in Ashford, Kent, just 30 minutes from my house and as I needed to do some shopping chores last Friday I tied in their official shop opening.
I have never purchased from Yours before, so I honestly had no idea what to expect and whether I would like any of their range but how could I miss such an event.
When we arrived 10 minutes before the opening time there was already hoards of people, the first 50 through the door received goody bags and everyone else a £5 voucher, so of course I had to choose something.
I was impressed by the nice wide aisles, I struggle with so many shops to get a good look around due to the pushchair, so I loved that I would be able to look at all they have to offer, which is a lot. They sell Fashion, Shoes, Jewellery, Swimwear, Nightwear and Underwear – everything in one place.
The store was really busy and I had both the young ones so I did not get to take as many pictures as I would have liked, but thought I would share a couple of things I liked.
I could not believe how many patterned leggings they had, I have a thing for them, so shall be treating myself to some for the winter months to team with my Denim Tunic. I love a Kimono (as regular readers shall know) this lovely Grey one caught my eye for the blend to winter months. I don’t usually go for dress/tunics like the purple one here, I also rarely wear purple but I thought this would be great for school run/housework days, it was a lovely light fabric.
I was impressed with the changing rooms, nice amount, good size and lovely positive messages on the walls as you walk in, clever touch, positivity is key!
I ended up leaving with both these tops, the top to wear with skinny jeans for everyday and the bottom I could not resist as I love polkadots, I am not sure either are fantastic fits but they were great prices and lovely and easy for busy week days. I also got a bargain handbag for £8, which has featured in my #fashionfridayplussized outfit post this week.
I was impressed with the store and it’s layout and think I will certainly find bits to purchase in the future.
Disclosure – I was not asked to attend the store opening or blog about it, I just wanted to share.
